Cannon Challenge Cannon Challenge Enhance the EMC shielding of Cannon's DL Zero Insertion Force DL Series connector. Deliver the product in time for equipment CE qualification. Develop backshells for easier assembly. Cannon Solution Cannon designed and manufactured a metal body intermatable ZIF connectors, with a multiple-piece backshell. A seamless changeover was accomplished from plastic to metal due to the product's intermatability. The backshell design allowed for complete removal without disconnecting contacts and wiring. Customer Benefit Customer Benefit EMC susceptibility problem was solved for CE qualification. Retrofitting installed robots can now be performed in the field.
